1.预习《状元大课堂》《创优作业100分》《状元作业本》中本课时的相关内容。 2. PPT课件、课文录音、视频等。 ▶教学过程

Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in

1. Greetings.

2. Sing a song—Old MacDonald had a farm. (出示课件) 3. Lead-in.

(课件出示:教材P39 Let's learn图片)

T: Look! Mike, John and Sarah are visiting the farm. This time they help the farmer pick vegetables. They're so happy. What vegetables do they see? Let's go to see.

Write down the topic “At the farm” on the blackboard. The teacher and students talk about the picture. T: What are these? Ss: They are... T: Are these…?

Ss: Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.

Teaching purpose

歌曲热身,激发学生的学习兴趣。教师以谈话方式导入,延续“农场”这个话题。利用PPT出示情景图,通过谈论图片复习上节课所学内容,并为接下来的学习做好铺垫。

Step 2: Presentation

1. Learn the word “carrots”. (课件出示:胡萝卜图片)

T: Mike, John and Sarah see some vegetables at the farm. Look! What are they?

Teaching purpose

教师通过复习上节课内容引出新单词“carrots”,借助图片教授新单词,并用数数的方式帮助学生关注其复数形式。

Ss: They\\'re carrots.

T: How many carrots? Let's count! 1 carrot, 2 carrots, 3 carrots… Write down the word “carrots” on the blackboard. Write “s” in red chalk.

2. Learn the word “tomatoes”.

T: Mike, John and Sarah see carrots. What else? Ss: And tomatoes.

T: Great! What colour are they? (课件出示:黄色西红柿图片) Ss: They're yellow.

T: Look! What are they? What colour? Ss: They\\'re tomatoes. They're red.

T: Yes. Look at these tomatoes. They're red.

Write down and teach the sentences “Look at… They're…”. Let students try to describe vegetables by using the sentences.

3. Learn the word “potatoes”.

T: Now let's play a game. Listen to the words and fill letters to complete the words. Let's go!

T: What are these?

Ss: They're potatoes. T: Are they big? Ss: No, they aren't.

(课件出示:教材P39 Let's learn土豆图片) T: Look at these potatoes. Are they big? Ss: Yes, they are. The potatoes are big. 4. Learn the phrase “green beans”.

Students look at the picture in “Let's learn” on page 39. T: Look! How many kinds of vegetables? Ss: Four.

T: What are they? They're…

Write down the phrase “green beans” on the blackboard.

T: In these two words, the letter combinations “ee” and “ea”both pronounce “/i: /”. Can you read the second word?

Students try to read “bean” correctly. The teacher can offer help if students need.

教师利用PPT帮助学生对比两种不同颜色的西红柿,做示范性描述并引导学生用句型“Look at… They\\'re…”来描述蔬菜特征。

Teaching purpose

利用刚学过的“tomato”来学习“potato”,可以帮助学生很快地掌握新单词的读音和词形。将PPT出示的土豆图片与书中土豆的图片进行对比,再次引导学生用句

型“They\\'re…” 来描述蔬菜特征。

利用“green”引导学生尝试自己拼读“bean”,充分调动学生的学习主动性,注重学生学习方法的培养。

Step 3: Practice

1. What's missing? (1) Look and say.

Use PPT to show the pictures of these four kinds of vegetables one by one. Students say them out and try to describe them.

(2) Let's play.

2. Let's chant.

(1) Understand the chant.

Show the picture in “Let's chant” on page 39 and ask students questions.

Q: What vegetables are they? What vegetables do you like to eat? Show the picture on the PPT to help students understand “But onions make me cry.” (出示课件)

(2) Let's chant.

Play the recording. Students read after it and then chant together. (3) Write your own chant.

The teacher shows a model on the PPT. Students try to write their own chants about vegetables, fruit and so on. (出示课件)

Step 4: Consolidation & Extension

“In the farm restaurant”

1. Create a situation by using the PPT.

Present the picture on the PPT. (课件出示:未来农场餐厅图) T: Now we're in the farm restaurant. There are some vegetables. What can you see? What do you want to eat?

2. Make a demonstration.

T: Look at these green beans. They're so long. S1: Yes! And they're so green!

T: I love to eat green beans. They're healthy for us. S1: OK! Let's try some.

3. Students work in groups to make their own dialogues. 4. Show time.

先看图说单词,再用小游戏的形式进行操练,充分调动学生的多种感官,既活跃了课堂气氛,又加强了学生对新学单词的记忆。

继续操练新单词,通过有节奏的chant使学生在朗读句子中熟悉核心词汇。开放性练习有助于培养学生的发散性思维。

通过创设自然真实的情境,让学生在情境中合理运用所学词汇,培养学生的综合语言运用能力,并在这个环节中让学生体会“多吃蔬菜有益于我们的身体健康”的观念,适时进行情感态度价值观的渗透。
