摘要：An authentication apparatus verifies biometric information acquired from aperson to be authenticated against registered information registered in advance. Abiometric information acquisition unit acquires biometric information from the person to

be authenticated. A determination unit determines whether or not the person to beauthenticated has uncertainty of verification. An information generation unit generatesfirst generated information from the biometric information, and generates secondgenerated information from the biometric information, which is used for verification inaddition to the first generated information when the determination unit determines thatthe person to be authenticated has uncertainty of verification. A verification targetselection unit selects whether to set first registration information as a verification targetor second registration information as a verification target in addition to the firstregistration information. A verification unit verifies the registration information selectedas the verification target against corresponding generated information.
