摘要：The invention relates to laser cutting, using multiple laser beams directed to aprocessing region. At least one first laser beam () is coupled into the work piece ()material to generate a melt () and to form a keyhole (). processing region as individual beams that may be conditioned independently. Theinvention has the advantage that arbitrary energy distributions can be arranged in theprocessing region as determined according to the requirements of the laser cuttingprocess, rather than being limited by an inappropriate beam shape of a single high powerlaser beam.
